My grandmother, Nonnie, is a master decorator, designer, and fiber artist. She moved in with my family when I was eight and she taught me how to thread a needle, crochet, knit, embroider, and decorate. We made frequent trips to thrift stores, always looking for something to make the house more exciting.

Stitchez & Threadz was started while I was in college and Nonnie became my business partner. We would crochet hats then I would sit on a bench near my college’s farmers market and I would sell them. Every time I would make the two hour drive back home from UMiami, Nonnie would have new inventory waiting for me. They always sold out.
